Due to the ability of third party companies providing a secure environment for Eastern Regional Jail & Correctional Facility inmates and their contacts outside the facility to communicate digitally, this facility will now (or soon) be providing the ability for digital messaging. MATINSBURG — Two males previously both incarcerated at the Eastern Regional Jail were charged in Berkeley County Magistrate Court this week after allegedly being involved in the attack and subsequent death of another inmate. Those arrested are innocent until proven guilty.
